UberGreen's Founder and CEO has more than 8 years of experience within the legal cannabis industry in Canada and beyond. In the early days of Canadian legalization, Jay served as Chief Development Officer at HEXO Corp. (acquired by Tilray Brands), where he was responsible for R&D, Innovation, Commercialization, Category Management, and Strategic Business Development. Jay joined the cannabis industry as employee #14 at HEXO. As part of early leadership at HEXO, Jay made significant contributions to the company's growth and success through negotiating preferred supplier agreements and partnerships with the province of Quebec (SQDC), building Truss Beverages, a Joint Venture with Molson Coors, as well as other key joint ventures and partnerships, all while building out the product portfolio and expanding the innovation platform. Jay was a part of HEXO's recognized success with award-winning product innovation, IP development, CPG partnerships, Provincial Board relations, and M&A activities. With HEXO and now UberGreen, Jay has been involved in over $1.5B of acquisitions and numerous other evaluated opportunities in the cannabis sector.
In addition to Jay's extensive experience in the cannabis sector, he has also led engagements with organizations such as Cisco, HP, VMware, Molson Coors, the US Airforce, Department of National Defence, State and Federal law Enforcement, various Provincial Regulators, as well a many other CPG and Tech companies.
